What is done:
The mechanic pressure-tests the radiator, inspects hoses for leaks, radiator cap for proper sealing, checks coolant level, checks water pump for leaks or wear and all drive belts for tension and condition. Radiators emptied and cleaned out of coolant and fresh coolant is put in its place uses up to 3 litres of coolant
Frequency :
(Nothing to do with kms) needs to be done b/w 12-18 months.
Reason:
Coolant becomes acidic over time. Once this happens it will cause rusting which damages the radiator. More importantly, if radiator and hose leaks are not repaired when detected, serious damage can also occur to the water pump and then the engine damage can occur.
